Since The Bulletin did not appear Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, only five coupons are necessary to enter the third biggest news contest. The five coupons, with the contest letter, must be mailed to the Bulletin before midnight, Monday.

The fourth contest in the Jewish Daily Bulletin’s Biggest Jewish News of the Week competitions, which nets readers, college, and high school students $100 in cash prizes weekly, gets under way today. Entry blank number one is published in today’s issue of the Bulletin.

The news period for the third contest ended Friday for the six days of contest number three between November 25 and November 30. Letters not more than 250 words telling what is the biggest Jewish News of the Week and Why must be mailed or brought to the offices of the Jewish Daily Bulletin on or before midnight, Monday, December 3, for the fourth contest. All manuscripts must be accompanied by the consecutive entry blanks which appear during the six days of the news period.

Readers and students who have entered the third week’s contest for a share in the $100 in prizes will learn in the Friday, December 7, issue of the Bulletin how they have fared. On each succeeding Friday thereafter winners of each new contest will be announced. The names and letters of those who won the second news period was sufficient evidence that this current Jewish news competition is proving an interesting and absorbing feature.

For those readers and students who have not as yet entered the contest the simple rules are repeated. A new Biggest Jewish News of the Week contest begins in every weekend edition of the Jewish Daily Bulletin. Coupon number one is published then. A coupon is published on each succeeding day and number six appears on Friday. This entry blank marks the end of the contest news period for that week.

Readers and students have until Monday midnight of the following week to submit their letters of not more than 250 words telling what in their opinion is the Biggest Jewish News of the Week and their reasons why. The six coupons must accompany each manuscript. That is all.

Everybody is eligible to enter. All readers of the Bulletin who send in their letters to the Contest Editor have a chance of winning the first prize of twenty-five dollars offered in the reader (non-student) division. Second prize winners receive ten dollars and third place receives five dollars.

18 RECEIVE $200

College men and women are in the student division and are eligible for a set of prizes equivalent to the awards of the reader group.

High school students are in the last group and are also eligible for cash prizes. A high school boy or girl whose letter wins a cash prize receives a medal emblematic of the contest and points which enters their school in the race for the News Trophy. First place for high school students nets ten dollars and a gold medal. Second prize consists of a five dollar cash award and a silver medal. Third place receives a two-dollar prize and a bronze medal. Names of all winners are engraved upon the medals.

Eighteen men and women have shared in the $200 that has been awarded winners of the Biggest Jewish News Contest thus far. You, too, may share in these cash awards. Send your letter in for the third Biggest Jewish News of the Week contest before midnight Monday.
