Ernst Borchardt, president of the Jewish National Fund in Germany from its re-establishment after the war until ill-health forced him to resign some months ago, died here. He was 59. He was the initiator and secretary of the “Liberal Bloc” in the Berlin Community and a prominent figure in local Jewish affairs.
