In line with the views of Mr. Julius Rosenwald that public bequests shall not be perpetual. Sir Albert Levy, in creating a £250,000 benevolent fund, has specified that it be distributed during the course of the next twenty-five years.

The beneficiaries of the fund are to be hospitals and other charities. With the interest which will accumulate, the endowment amounts to £400,000.
