Europe and America need to strike a “new deal” that reassesses the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Britain’s ambassador to the United States said. David Manning said the new presidential elections should bring about a review of core issues in the relationship, including the “resolution of the debilitating Israel-Palestine dispute, with the impact it has on relations between the Islamic and non-Islamic world.”
