Ex-nazi Sentenced to Death in Poland; Killed Thousands of Jews

A court at Lodz, Poland; today sentenced Hermann Altmann to death on charges that he was a Gestapo agent responsible for the death of 30,000 Polish citizens, mostly Jews, in the Piotrkow region during World War II. The trial lasted two days.
