Excavations in Israel have reinforced the historical evidence for the existence of King David’s kingdom. The discovery of signs of an urban society dating to the 10th century BCE at Tel Rehov, near Beit Shean, has affirmed the existence of a united Israelite monarchy headed by kings David and Solomon, according to Hebrew University.
