Dr. Erwin Panofsky, exiled German fine arts professor, will offer courses on “Duerer, Holbein and Gruenewald” and “German Sculpture in the Middle Ages” at the Metropolitan Museum of Art this semester. These will constitute two of six new lecture courses which will be among the eighteen on art and decoration to be given there by the New York University College of Fine Arts in cooperation with the museum, it was announced yesterday by Dr. Walter W. S. Cook, chairman of the university’s graduate committee on Fine Arts.
