Attorneys of the Jewish faith or of Jewish origin, even those who have been readmitted to practice on proof of their war service, cannot remain as members of the bar association, the German Lawyers Association decreed yesterday.

The order issued by the association to its Jewish members announced that they must consider themselves automatically expelled from the organization.

This order follows the decision reached at the recent convention of the All-German Lawyers Association at Leipzig to “purge” the legal profession and the judicial system of Jews.
