The thirty-seventh annual harvest festival at the National Farm School here was held today, with Dr. Charles E. Beury, president of Temple University of Philadelphia, as guest speaker.
Herbert D. Allman, president of the school, submitted his annual message and announced that the harvest yields from the 1,200-acre farm at the school have established a new record. He attributed this to the intensive work of faculty and students.
A feature of the exercises today was the award of certificates to a special class of handicapped students. These men, sponsored by state and federal governments, under a rehabilitation program for handicapped persons, have completed a one-year, specially arranged course in some of the lighter branches of the farm industry, designed to rehabilitate them for productive work. A second class is now enrolled.
