The Palestine Government today issued the June-July allotment of the six-month immigration schedule of 9,000 certificates announced on April 22.

The number of certificates granted to the Jewish Agency for Palestine for distribution was increased under the new allotment to 370. Of this number 20 will be deducted for the Government’s reserve,

(The April-May allotment of certificates totalled 2,050, plus additional certificates for wives and children of previous immigrats. At the time the six-month schedule was announced, it was stated that a quota similar to the April-May allotment would be issued for June-July, less the number of illegal entrants recorded in the previous two-month period. Issuance of two-month allotments was inaugurated, it was declared at that time, in order to keep a current check on illegal immigration.)
