The cost-of-living index rose by 0.6 percent in February, the second-lowest increase in the past 12 months, according to figures released Friday by the Central Bureau of Statistics.

The rise was only 0.4 percent in December 1990, but the cost of living increased 1.3 percent in January. The index now stands at 179.7 on a baseline of 100 set in 1987.
