A delegation of Jews appeared today before the Minister of the Interior and submitted to him a memorandum on the Jewish economic plight in the country.

The delegation asked for government aid to relieve the great misery prevailing among the Jews.

The National Democratic faction in the Lodz municipality, which formed a majority in the Municipal Council and passing numerous anti-Jewish laws split today. Five members of this faction joined the opposition, taking from the National Democrats its control over the Municipal Council in Lodz.

The sudden split in the National Democratic faction is expected to prevent any anti-Jewish municipal legislation in the future.
