The appointment of a Nazi student dictator, who will have the right to determine the complete exclusion of the Jews from the University of Rostock, was resolved upon today by the majority vote of the Nazi students.
The appointment of the dictator was decided in connection with the adoption of a new constitution for the Student Union. The dictator further is to have a decisive vote in the professorial elections, according to the resolve of the Nazis.
The Federal government, upon being apprised of what transpired, has adopted a serious view of the matter. It has informed the Nazi government in Mecklenburg, where the University is situated, that the resolutions of the Nazi students are contrary to the constitution of Germany and has ordered their annulment.
A conference of rectors held today also took a serious view of the situation which may develop if the far-reaching powers granted to students are not limited. Grave consequences may arise from casual Nazi majorities, the rectors hold, if the student powers are not curtailed.
