The grand ballroom of the Hotel Commodore will be decorated to simulate a New England colonial village for the Thanksgiving Night frolic of the young men’s and women’s division of the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies. The function, which is part of the Federation’s campain to wipe out its deficit, is the society’s sixth annual informal dance.
Two orchestras, led by Howard Lannin and Dick Brucato, will play. The committee in charge of arrangements is headed by Ruth Oppenheimer, Mrs. Irving F. Krause and Abe Bloom, co-chairmen.
Patrons include Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt, Governor and Mrs. Herbert H. Lehman, George Z. Medalie, Joseph M. Proskauer, Max Steuer, Paul Felix Warburg and Grover Whalen.
