Felix M. Warburg, banker and philanthropist, returned on the Normandie today after a stay of several weeks in Europe during which he attended important conferences of Jewish leaders.

Describing the Jewish situation in Europe as “very complicated and discouraging,” Mr. Warburg saw hope for alleviation in a possible change of attitude on the part of certain governments, not for “love of humanity” but for purely economic reasons.
