VOLUNTEERS PRAISED

Among the volunteer workers for the land redemption banquet, special distinction was earned by Louis Altschul, a leader of Jewish welfare work in The Bronx, who contributed $1,000; Rabbi Henry A. Schorr, spiritual leader of Congregation Adath Israel of The Bronx and chairman of the Jewish National Fund Council for that borough; and the leaders of the Washington Heights Committee consisting of Hyman J. Reit, chairman; Fred Greenman, vice-chairman; Isidore Ehrman, {SPAN}treas###{/SPAN} and Jacob Klein, chairman {SPAN}###{/SPAN} dinner committee for the {SPAN}###{/SPAN} Side.
