A court of appeals in Fez has confirmed the 18-month sentence passed last April by a lower court on Dr. Arthur Epstein, a French citizen and former resident of Israel, who was convicted of charges of drug smuggling and attempted bribery. The lower court was criticized by several Moroccan newspapers at the time for not charging Epstein with espionage for Israel.
