The American premiere of the new film “For Those I Loved,” starring Michael York in the role of a Jewish Holocaust survivor, will be a gala benefit on behalf of mentally handicapped children and adults in Israel, it was announced in a press conference here. The gala event is sponsored by Friends of AKIM USA and the Bnai Zion Foundation. AKIM is the association for the rehabilitation of the mentally handicapped in Israel.

The premier of the film will be held at the Ziegfeld Theater in Manhattan on April 16. Michele Bokobza, national director of AKIM-USA, said that the proceeds of the evening are expected to be around $250,000.
