Financial Talks Between Israel and British Representatives to Resume in London

Financial talks between British and Israel officials will be resumed here shortly following the arrival today of David Horowitz, Israel Finance Ministry director-general, from a visit to the United States. Individual contacts between members of the Israel financial delegation and representatives of the British Treasury and British oil firms have been maintained during Mr. Horowitz’ absence from London.

The Joint Palestine Appeal today issued a statement welcoming the British Government’s action in raising the remittance quota to Israel for charitable purposes to $6,300,000 during the current year. The Appeal siad that to date the Jewish National Fund of Britain has transmitted $1,201,200 to Israel while the Keren Hayesod transmitted nearly $840,000.
