Matthias Da Sousa, who landed at St. Mary’s with the original Maryland colonists 300 years ago, was a Jew, and credit for this discovery is given to B. H. Hartogensis, local lawyer.

Mr. Hartogensis has unearthed many hitherto unknown facts in the history of early Maryland. His research work was highly praised by histoans.
