Finland’s Lutheran Church on Thursday apologized for its silence on the Holocaust and pledged to do more to raise awareness on the issue. “The church admits it was silent over the Holocaust and apologizes to the Jewish community,” bishops and other church leaders said during a synod.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
