First Group of Legal Immigrants Leaves Austria for Israel; 400 in Transport

Four hundred Jewish displaced persons — most of them Rumanian — left Linz today for Israel in the first legal transport from the. DP camps of Austria. An additional 1,000 DP’s are scheduled to leave Austria during September while the same quota is to be maintainedfor the next 12 months, according to present plans.
