First Iranian, South African Elected to Weizmann Institute Board of Governors

Seven new members, including the first Iranian and the first South African were elected to the Weizmann Institute’s board of governors, the Hebrew University announced today. The Iranian, Abraham F. Rad, is a prominent industrialist who divides his time between Tel Aviv and Teheran. Justice I.A. Maisels, from South Africa, is very active in Jewish life, in addition to his legal career. He is currently chairman of the South African Zionist Federation.
