Five Scrolls of the Law, written in Palestine, were sent to the Jewish communities in Transylvania by the Danube Palestine Society, an organization recently formed here.
The Scrolls were sent to congregations whose synagogues were demolished and the Torahs destroyed during the student excesses in December.
The Torahs will arrive before the Feast of Weeks.
