Five Swedish Jews Honored; One Dies Suddenly After Award is Announced

Danish Supreme Court Judge Sigurd Dennemark and Ragnar Sachs, Stockholm department store director, were named Commanders of the Grand Cross of the North Star Order of Sweden on King Gustav’s birthday list. They were among five Swedish Jews honored on the occasion.

Prof. RolfLuft was named a Commander of the North Star Order. Harald Schlasberg and Robert Aperia, both business leaders, were named Knights of the Vasa Order First Class. Judge Dennemark died suddenly shortly after the awards were announced.
