A five-year geological survey of Israel has beet undertaken by the Cabinet committee for economic affairs, composed of representatives of the Trade and Industry and Agriculture Ministries, it was reported here today. Prof, J.L, Pickard, of the Hebrew University’s Geology Department, will supervise the Project. He recently conducted a similar study in Argentina, which was lauded highly by President Juan Peron.
