Henry Ford is depicted in a new role, that of benefactor of individual anti-Semites, in a report published today by the “Pester Kurier.”
The newspaper states that Henry Ford has forwarded a check for $3,000 to a Hungarian officer, a member of the anti-Semitic Awakening Magyars, on the latter’s plea that he lost his post due to his anti-Semitic views.
The unnamed officer, the paper states, received the check yesterday, following a request directed to Ford several months ago. His request was granted only after he had, at directions from Detroit, submitted to Ford conclusive proof of his anti-Semitic activity.
