The Ford Motor Company today gave $15, 000 to the United Jewish Appeal of Greater New York as the automobile firm’s contribution to the 1961 UJA campaign in support of seven major welfare agencies operating a worldwide humanitarian network.
Allen W. Merrell, vice president of the Ford Motor Company Fund, presented a check for that amount to Edwin Rosenberg, chairman of New York UJA’s executive committee, during a visit to the organization’s headquarters. In accepting the check, Mr. Rosenberg expressed high praise for the Ford company’s long-sustained interest in and support of the United Jewish Appeal.
