Formation of an international committee to raise funds for a monument to the martyrs annihilated by the Nazi regime at the Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp was announced here today.

Members of the committee include Max Born, a Jewish West German atomic scientist; the famous cellist, Pablo Cassals; Francois Mauriac, the French writer; and Arnold Zweig, a German-Jewish writer, who lives in East Germany.
