Former President George Bush was honored for aiding the immigration of Ethiopian Jews to Israel. On Feb. 7, Bush received the Joseph Prize for Human Rights from the Anti-Defamation League in Palm Beach, Fla., for helping expedite the emigration of 16,000 Ethiopian Jews in 1991 by offering to mediate in Ethiopia’s civil war.
