Former U.S. Navy Ship to Be Converted into Passenger Vessel for U.s.-israel Service

A former U.S. Navy landing vessel will be converted by the American-Israel Line into a passenger ship accommodating 1,200 persons. The ship, which will be renamed the Star of Judea, will play between Israel and United Sates ports. The vessel will play under the Panamanian flag and round-trip fares will beg in at $350. Religious services and kosher cuisine will be provided.
