Four of the organizations listed by Attorney General Tom Clark as of questionable loyalty to the United States Government are anti-Semitic groups, a study of the lists discloses.
Among the 33 names on the new list, released yesterday, are the Columbiana, Atlanta, Ga., anti-Jewish storm troop organization headed by Homer Loomis Jr., and the Ku Klux Klan. Included in a list of 47 organizations, which was first re-leased in February 1943, are the Silver Shirts, now dissolved group which was headed by William Dudley Pelley, who is serving a 15-year term for sedition, and The Protestant War Veterans, which was operated by Edward James Smythe, one of the de-fendants in the abortive Washington sedition trial.
The American Association for the United Nations will file with the Supreme Court on Monday an amicus curias brief asking the tribunal to bar restrictive real estate covenants on the basis that they conflict with the U.N. Charter. The brief says that U.S. courts must be barred from taking action which runs counter to the U.S. foreign policy of opposing bias. Other briefs to be filed with the court have been prepared by a number of Jewish organizations.
