Four Arab infiltrators were killed last night by an army patrol in southern Israel, it was announced here today. The army communique said the patrol intercepted a group of infiltrators south of the Saad crossroad while the Arabs were returning to the Gaza Strip area. Four of the men were killed when they refused to obey an order to halt.
A Carl Gustav submachine gun, described by the communique as the “standard fedayeen” firearm, and magazines, were found near the bodies. The headquarters of the United Nations Emergency Force was informed of the incident.
