Four Jewish candidates of the United Federal Party have been chosen for Parliament in the elections just completed. They all received large majorities on the ticket led by Sir Roy Welensky, premier of the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland.
The four elected are Peter Staub, Saul Udwin, Mrs. Muriel Rosi, a former member of the territorial parliament, and B. D. Goldberg, Junior Minister for Home Affairs, who was re-elected.
Three other Jewish candidates were defeated. They are Stanley Gurland, George Abrahams and Solly Jossel.
