Israel Ambassador Jacob Tsur conferred today with top French foreign policy officials at the Quai d’Orsay. He is understood to have discussed with them Israel’s position at the United Nations and relations among Israel, France and the United States.
A Foreign Ministry spokesman today announced France will send ships through the Strait of Tiran to Elath to help emphasize the international character of the waterway. The spokesman said France considers Israel’s demands for guarantees legitimate.
