Jewish circles today received calmly the news of General Eugene Mittelhauser’s announcement of cessation of hostilities in Syria, saying they assumed that Palestine-Syrian relations would not be changed. This was confirmed by an official communique stating that the Palestine-Syrian trade agreement would remain in force.
