A study of the industries of Palestine is being made by the French Technical Commission which arrived here several days ago.

Henri Chapot, who is heading the commission, which includes government electrical mining engineers, professors of Sorbonne University and of the higher technical schools in France, made a categoric denial to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency correspondent of a rumor here that the commission’s visit is in connection with the French Government’s claim to the Dead Sea concession.

The members of the commission visited the Bezalel school, the Hebrew University laboratories, and Solomon’s Pools, remarking everywhere on the modern developments. Before proceeding to Syria, the commission will visit Tel-Aviv, Balfouria, Haifa and the Jordan electric works.
