French Jewish politicians and cultural leaders condemned anti-Semitism. The leader launched a petition drive by gathering earlier this week in Paris as part of a campaign to fight anti-Semitism. The signatories pledged to take action to counter anti-Semitic incidents in France, “including those taking place at demonstrations against the war in Iraq.”
