French President Jacques Chirac paid tribute to citizens who hid Jews during World War II. Chirac addressed a Paris gathering of several hundred people Thursday evening. “Your message is the fight for tolerance and fraternity, against anti-Semitism, discrimination and all kinds of racism,” he said.
