French President Jacques Chirac told Israel to stop its air force flights over Lebanon. Chirac made the demand in talks Wednesday with visiting Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, his spokesman said.
The world is no longer divided into rich and poor countries but into moderate and extremist states, Israel’s foreign minister said in France. “Israel has the same interests as moderate Arab states,” Tzipi Livni said Tuesday night in Paris, where she was guest speaker at the annual France-Israel Chamber of Commerce dinner attended by more than 300 guests, community leaders and government officials.
