The United Jewish Appeal will launch a special program in the United States, aimed at developing future leadership for the organization from among the younger generation of American Jews, Rabbi Herbert Friedman, executive vice-chairman of the UJA, said today. He reported on the projected program at a meeting here of the Jewish Agency executive.

The UJA leader stressed that the UJA’s campaign total of $33, 500, 000 for the first half of 1960 was achieved without any crisis appeal. The campaign in the United States stressed the long-term needs for the consolidation of Israel’s agricultural settlements.
