Private funeral services were planned here today for Samuel J. Bloomingdale, son of the co-founder of the Bloomingdale department store, who died here at the age of 94. He was a trustee of the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies and of Montefiore Hospital for which he provided funds for a nurses apartment building. He was also a supporter of the American Jewish Committee and contributed to the development of its Institute for Human Relations here.
