Arrests made by the police in Bucharest, Galatz and Jassy led to the discovery of a widely organized anti-Semitic conspiracy of a students’ Fascisti organization, which planned a series of terroristic acts against bankers, industrialists and government officials, according to information published today by the Roumanian paper, “Ad Verul”. Several of the arrested have made confessions, giving details of the conspiracy and the address of the headquarters which are in Bucharest.

Incriminating evidence was found during a search made at the headquarters of the Christian League in Jassy.

A number of professors of the Jassy University, who participated in a meeting which passed a resolution condemning Professor Cuza, the leader of the anti-Semitic movement in Roumania, for the murder of the Chief of Police in Jassy, received letters threatening them with death under the sign of the Swastika.

Further disturbances on the part of the Fascisti students are feared. The government intends to proclaim martial law in all University cities, particularly in Jassy. Well informed circles predict the fall of the Bratiano Government and the formation of a new cabinet under Professor Jorga.
