The Finance Ministry has asked the Defense Ministry to reduce its 1972 fiscal budget from an original estimate of $1.54 billion to $1.25 billion. It was learned from reliable sources today. The Defense Ministry had voluntarily reduced its budget request to $1.30 billion. The Treasury insists further outs are possible.
