Further details of the pogroms in Transylvania reached here today. A train, between Cluj and Blas, was attacked and the terrorized Jewish passengers flung from the windows while the train was at full speed.
On the station between Blas and Tejus many Jewish passengers were beaten until they lost consciousness.
Over 100 Jews were wounded in the city of Blas. The excesses started after the Jewish population had assembled in the local synagogue to celebrate the national Roumanian holiday. Many of the wounded were taken to the hospital; two died.
