Half of the 15,000 Jewish population of Bratislava, the Slovakian capital, have already been deported from the city and sent to labor camps, the Slovak press reaching here today reported. It quoted high officials as announcing at a press conference that “soon all Jews will be deported from towns with a population of over 1,500 inhabitants.”

The Slovakian newspaper Grenzhote reports that the Bulgarian government issued a decree in Sofia, capital of Bulgaria, prohibiting Jews from establishing new business enterprises or taking over such enterprises from Jews who wish to sell them.
