Gallup Poll Reveals 49 Percent of Canadians Oppose Jewish Immigration to Country

Forty-nine percent of the Canadian people are opposed to the admission of Jews to their country even under a policy of selective immigration, the results of a Gallup poll just released reveals.

The question used by the Canadian Institute of Public Opinion survey was: “If Canada does allow more immigration, are there any of these nationalities which you would like to keep out?” The questionnaire lists 12 different nationalities. According to the answers 60 percent opposed the entrance of Japanese; 49 percent opposed Jewish immigration; 34 percent, German immigration; 33 percent, Russian immigration; and 31 percent, Negro immigration.
