Gelber to Become President of Zionist Organization of Canada; Zacks Declines Reelection

Edward E. Gelber, honorary vice-president of the Canadian Jewish Congress and long active in Jewish communal affairs in this country, has agreed to accept the nomination for president of the Zionist Organization of Canada, it was announced here today.

The 30th annual convention of the Zionist Organization of Canada, with over 500 delegates from all sections of the country in attendance, will be held here on Jan. 21. S.J. Zacks, of Toronto, present president of the Zionist Organization of Canada, indicated that he will not be a candidate for reelection.
