The world-famed Gerer Rabbi–Rabbi Abraham Mordecai Alter–died of heart failure here at the age of 92. Funeral services were held yesterday evening–at the conclusion of the Shavuoth holiday–at the Yeshiva Sfat Emet here with representatives of the Jewish Army, the local Yeshivoth and the office of the Chief Rabbinate in attendance. He was buried in the ancient Rumma quarter.
