An anti-Semitic pamphlet which contains broad caricatures of Jewish politicians bankers and military men in the United States was banned here today by the West German Federal Supreme Court.
The pamphlet, first published here in German translation in 1956, had been written by an American, Eustace Williams. The German publisher was Guido Roeder, of Oberamergau, and the illustrator was Hans Schwaighofer, who played the role of Judas Iscariot in last summer’s Oberamergau Passion Play.
The Supreme Court not only banned the pamphlet, entitled “The Bankers’ Conspiracy of Jekyl Island, ” but also ordered the confiscation of all copies of the anti-Semitic work.
